“Witnessing”; 1996; Brooklyn Arts Council Gallery, Opening Night of Exhibition; Stage constructed of benches, tables, and chairs, covered with white fabric and decorated with hand-made copper roses. A durational performance which took place over the course of two hours. This was an act of silent meditation and reflection on societal structures that shape the conventions of gender, and the roles of women within dysfunctional power systems.
